Reduce, Reuse, Recycle

It's crafty night at Scouts! Our Tigers got thinking about how to build a robot out of scraps and other items that had been recycled.  They had some great creations, and if you got a photo of your Scout's, send it to me, and we'll get it up.  These are the only ones we had!

The parents manned the hot glue gun

Choosing the parts was VERY important

Feeding our feathered friends

The Scouts teach our boys how to care for their environment and to "Leave No Trace."  The D family and the P family helped our Tiger dens make bird feeders.  The dens had different designs, so it was fun to see how each worked!

The D family helped the boys make pinecone feeders.  Using peanut butter, mixed with oil, the boys spread it on the pinecones, then shook a it in a bag of bird seed.

Hmmm, a little peanut buttery A?

The P family had a toilet paper tube design, with peanut butter, and then rolled in seed.

Good job Tigers!! Our feathered friends were very happy!

Space Derby!

What a fun, confusing, crazy night!  But we blasted off in true Cub Scout style!  The Space Derby was a success and first place went to one of our own Tigers, E.K.!  Congratulations

Yes.  It was as confusing as it seemed!

Go See It #2: Elon's Men's basketball

Another one of the Go See It requirements was to attend a sport event as a den.  Having connections at Elon (Thanks C's Mom and Dad) we were able to get great seats all together for the game. The boys enjoyed the game, the fun and of course, the Phoenix!

The boys had a great view

As hard as we cheered, Princeton still bested Elon.

The Phoenix stopped by for some high fives...

and a chat.

And promised a photo at the end of the game!

And the silly shot.  The Phoenix seems a bit confused.  Nice faces guys!

And a sweet sibling photo as well!

Tigers' first Christmas parade

A pleasant afternoon, a tractor and our pack made for a very enjoyable time in the Christmas parade.  While the boys threw most of their candy within the first block or two (lucky kids along there!)  Here are a few photos the boys from the beginning of the parade.

Say cheese!
Goofing around with C's dog Sweetie

Looking good Pack!

Last minute instructions from Cubmaster J

Say what?  When the driver had to respond to an EMT call, Brant stepped in to drive.  Good thing he grew up driving tractors or we would have been stuck!

Look at the fantastic pack banner!  Thanks E.R's Dad and Mom!

And while we were headed out to the parade route, a very special couple wished us a very Merry Christmas!
